A Crossover for the Modern Lifestyle
When it comes to a crossover that fits your family’s lifestyle, Chevy Equinox is the way to go. Meticulous craftsmanship and upscale appointments will appeal to your stylish side. With an EPA–estimated 32 MPG highway, Equinox offers highway fuel economy its competitors can’t beat. With a highway driving range of up to 600 miles, Equinox beats Honda CR–V, Toyota RAV4 and even Ford Escape Hybrid.
Ideal for families and friends on the go, Equinox seats five comfortably and offers the most rear–seat leg room in its class, along with advanced safety and security features for added peace of mind. Are you ready to cross over to Equinox?
Attracts Attention by Design
Appearances are important, and with its sleek lines and rugged details, Equinox will certainly attract the admiration it deserves.
Chevy dressed up the exterior of Equinox LTZ with smart–looking accents, including chrome door handles; chrome, heated, manual–folding mirrors; roof rack side rails with bright chrome inserts; and front and rear bright fascia lowers. A little bling is a good thing.
You Can Roll in Style
Why not add a little extra style with one of three wheel choices? Choose from standard 17″ aluminum wheels, the available 18″ chrome–clad aluminum wheels, or 19″ chrome–clad aluminum wheels available on V6 models.
Programmable Power Liftgate
Equinox has an available segment–exclusive programmable power liftgate available in a compact crossover. Besides fully open, it can also be set for a lower opening to avoid contact with a garage ceiling. Or if you’ve got a long kayak on the roof rack, you can program the liftgate to the height of the roof rack to avoid hitting the kayak.
Comfort by Design
Every aspect of the stylish Equinox interior was given considerable thought, especially comfort and quietness. It offers the most rear–seat leg room of any compact crossover SUV, plus other comfort and convenience features like standard power driver–seat height and lumbar adjuster, and even acoustic laminated glass.
Seat Comfort: You’ll Be Sitting Pretty
We know how important seat comfort is when selecting a new vehicle. To that end, we designed the interior in an attempt to make sitting in Equinox as comfortable as — or even more comfortable than— sitting in your living room.
Multi–Flex Sliding Rear Seat
Not only does Equinox seat up to five passengers, the innovative Multi–Flex sliding rear seat means Equinox can offer passengers the most rear–seat leg room in its class. It travels nearly eight inches forward and back, providing up to 39.9 inches of leg room for your back–seat passengers. When slid forward, you can also gain valuable space for cargo.
Equinox Meets the Demands of an Active Lifestyle
Designed with active lifestyles in mind, Equinox with available AWD is a great traveling companion for a camping trip in the mountains, a weekend of skiing or kayaking. With everything it offers, Equinox gives you the flexibility and functionality you need.
18 Storage Areas
It’s amazing how much storage capacity Equinox offers, thanks to a number of storage areas and a deep center console that’s ideal for a laptop or purse. A pair of small bins in the cargo area are easy to reach, whether you’re a grown–up or a child.
Brings What You Need
Because your lifestyle includes everything from surfing to biking to snowboarding to canoeing, Equinox features an available roof rack. The side rails, standard on LT and LTZ, are factory–installed and the available cross bows are dealer–installed on LT and standard on LTZ. The available Hitch Trailering Package, a dealer–installed accessory, increases towing to 3500 lbs. on models equipped with the available V6 engine.
Trailer Sway Control
What’s more, Equinox has Trailer Sway Control (TSC), that’s part of the standard StabiliTrak system. If TSC detects the trailer is swaying, the vehicle’s brakes are automatically applied. When TSC is applying the brakes, an indicator light flashes to notify the driver to reduce speed. If the trailer continues to sway, StabiliTrak will reduce engine torque to help slow the vehicle.
Equinox Goes the Extra Mile
At an EPA–estimated 32 MPG highway, Equinox stands out by offering fuel economy that Honda CR–V, Toyota RAV4 and even Ford Escape Hybrid can’t match. What’s more, a fuel–saving 6–speed automatic transmission and a 2.4L ECOTEC 4–cylinder engine with Direct Injection mean up to 600 highway miles between fill–ups. The 2.4L ECOTEC 4–cylinder engine also features an Eco button that allows you to switch to a fuel–saving mode, which can optimize fuel efficiency.
The Power of Technology
Leaving your home or office doesn’t mean leaving the latest in technology behind. Equinox offers the very latest in both mobile technology and Infotainment. For 2012 model year, Equinox LT and LTZ models feature a new 7″ diagonal color touch radio, which can display a rear camera image from your MP3 player.
Bluetooth Wireless Technology
Take calls at the touch of a button. Available Bluetooth wireless technology12 for select phones lets you make, answer and end phone calls with a tap of the steering wheel. It even mutes the stereo to take your calls.

Safety Before, During and After a Collision
There’s nothing optional about safety and Chevy Equinox is equipped with features designed to protect you and your loved ones, such as the standard four–wheel antilock brake system with Electronic Brake Force distribution. There’s also the available Lane Departure Warning that lets you know when you’re wandering from your lane without using your turn signal, and the advanced Forward Collision Alert (requires V6) that alerts you when you’re rapidly approaching a vehicle that a collision may become imminent. As you can see, Equinox is designed to protect you from the time you start your engine until the minute you turn it off.
Equinox is outfitted with advanced technologies that help you avoid a collision, including StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System with Traction Control and rollover mitigation. It’s designed to improve vehicle stability on most road surfaces, especially during emergency maneuvers and difficult driving conditions. Sensors continually monitor the path being steered by the driver and the direction in which the vehicle is actually turning. Equinox also has four–wheel antilock disc brakes with Electronic Brake Force distribution and available all–wheel drive. The Equinox on–demand all–wheel–drive system automatically delivers power to the wheels with the best traction for optimal grip, even on slippery or unstable road surfaces.
In the event of a collision, you and your passengers have the protection of a steel safety cage, six standard air bags13 and the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Top tethers for CHildren) system — all standard on Chevy Equinox.
OnStar Directions & Connections Plan is standard for the first six months and includes Automatic Crash Response, where built–in sensors can automatically alert OnStar for help in an emergency. Even if you can’t respond, an Advisor can request that emergency help be sent to your exact GPS location. It’s peace of mind for you and your family.
