Class-Exclusive Single-Sequential Turbocharger
When you need power, you need it now. That’s why the turbocharger of the 6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel is located between the cylinder heads and the top of the block, and the exhaust manifold positioned inboard and adjacent to the turbocharger. Closer proximity means faster air displacement and more power. Consider also the fact that this turbocharger uses single-shaft design, dual-sided compressor wheel and articulating turbine vanes that vary the flow of air based on the accelerator – and you have a turbocharger that generates on-demand performance with negligible turbo lag.

6.2L V8 Gas Engine
The E85-capable 6.2L gas V8 has bigger pistons, intake and exhaust valves and a larger engine bore diameter than before, to deliver best-in-class horsepower and torque for effortless on-the-job performance — plus class-leading fuel economy to grow your bottom line. For power conversion to compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquid propane gas (LPG), Ford offers the flexibility of the CNG/LPG Gaseous Engine Prep Package, available for F-250 and F-350 models.

Ford TorqShift® 6-Speed SelectShift™ Automatic™
The Ford TorqShift® 6-Speed SelectShift™ Automatic™ transmission has big, strong gears that take on extra torque, meaning you use fewer rpm because the torque converter locks up at lower speeds. You can rev this transmission hard and push it to the extremes with confidence.

SelectShift™ Automatic Transmission
The SelectShift™ feature of the 6-speed TorqShift® automatic transmission has two driver-initiated modes. In Progressive Range Select, you can limit the range of gears to lock out overdrive for consistent speed over hills and mountain ranges. In Full Manual mode, you can go all the way up and all the way down the gearbox to put you fully in control.

Diesel Engine Architecture
The 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 turbo diesel is designed to deliver power, efficiency and quiet operation. This rugged Ford-built powerplant features class-exclusive inboard exhaust and outboard air induction architecture that helps reduce turbo lag. And speaking of turbocharging, this Power Stroke® engine’s class-exclusive single-sequential turbocharger uses the compact, efficient design of a dual-sided compressor wheel to help generate maximum power — and deliver it quickly. Yet another great feature is the common-rail induction system which, operating at nearly 30,000 psi, uses precise calibration and phasing to provide optimum power and efficiency as well as reduced noise, vibration and harshness (NVH).

ToughBed® Bedliner
ToughBed® is a unique factory-installed spray-in bedliner. The polyol-based elastomeric film and isocyanate hardener are applied with a precision high-pressure automated sprayer, not a hand sprayer, to help ensure a smooth, even and durable coat. The option includes a tailgate guard, black box bed tie-down hooks and black bed attachment bolts.

AdvanceTrac® with RSC®
Super Duty® single rear-wheel pickups come equipped with standard AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®). To help control your truck, it uses a combination of reduced engine power and selective wheel braking. Corner too quickly or swerve to avoid an object, AdvanceTrack® will automatically engage to help keep you under control.

Trailer Sway Control
Standard on Super Duty® Pickup and SRW Chassis Cab, electronic Trailer Sway Control helps keep whatever you’re towing doing what you want it to do, not what the forces of gravity and inertia want it to do. This control is accomplished through selective wheel braking and reduced engine power to help keep your trailer behind you through high winds, turns and rain-soaked roads.

Best-in-Class Towing and Payload
The Super Duty® has impressive numbers to back its claim of being best-in-class in both towing and payload. Maximum 17,500 lbs. conventional towing. Maximum 24,500 lbs. 5th-wheel towing. Maximum 7,110 lbs. payload. These are big numbers that’ll impact your bottom line for the better when the workday is done.

5th-Wheel/Gooseneck Trailer Tow Prep Package
With the 5th-Wheel/Gooseneck Trailer Tow Prep Package, you can use a fifth wheel hitch or a gooseneck ball to tow the really big loads. This package, available on 6-3/4-ft. and 8-ft. pickup boxes, offers you the strength of a factory-installed 5th wheel and gooseneck substructure attached to the frame and maintains a flat cargo load floor. This patent-pending system is covered by a Ford warranty and is compatible with 5th-Wheel and Gooseneck Hitch Kits offered through the factory and Ford custom accessories.

Hill Start Assist/Hill Descent Control™
When you’re crawling up a steep hill, the standard Hill Start Assist feature automatically holds the brake on an incline to help prevent backward roll when switching your foot from the brake to the gas. This is especially helpful when towing big loads. Conversely, when going downhill you need the Hill Descent Control™, included on single rear-wheel pickups with the available FX4 Off-Road Package. To activate it, push the Hill Descent Control button, press the brake once to set the desired speed and hold the steering wheel. Then the system applies brake pressure as needed to descend grades at a controlled speed.

Tow/Haul Mode with Engine Exhaust Braking Function
The available Power Stroke® 6.7L Turbo Diesel with 6-speed TorqShift® transmission utilizes seamless engine exhaust braking to improve driving confidence and minimize brake wear. While you’re driving downhill in Tow/Haul Mode and tapping the brake, the combustion process is restricted to help maintain the desired vehicle speed. This big-rig-inspired feature increases towing confidence without wearing down the transmission or heating up the brakes. So when you need extra control coming down that 8% grade towing 20,000 lbs., this feature on the Power Stroke Diesel gives you that extra driving confidence.

Electronic Locking Rear Differential
Work is hardly ever in a perfect location. What starts as a level patch of dirt usually turns into a rutted mud pit. But that’s where an available electronic locking rear differential goes to work. When engaged, it helps provide excellent off-road traction in both 4×2 and 4×4 modes by locking the rear axle completely to maximize traction on both wheels simultaneously and make an extreme off-road feel anything but extreme.

Integrated Trailer Brake Controller
Super Duty® has the first factory-installed, fully integrated Trailer Brake Controller (TBC) available in a full-size pickup, so there are no installation hassles or aftermarket worries. Integrated with the ABS and Trailer Sway Control, TBC synchronizes vehicle and trailer brakes for seamless braking, even with the heaviest loads.

Class-Exclusive Tailgate Step
You already have the best-in-class max payload. The class-exclusive integrated tailgate step makes it easier to access that payload. This step stows inside the tailgate, can be easily accessed when needed and includes a flip-up grab bar. Also, it has a 350-lb. load capacity so even the big guys don’t have to sweat it.

LCD Productivity Screen
The instrument cluster features a driver-configurable LCD productivity screen where you’ll see more than you might have expected. Fuel economy. Towing information. Off-road data. Plus plenty of additional vehicle information. And it’s all easy to navigate on the screen or with steering wheel switches that help you keep your eyes on the road while toggling through the content on the screen. It’s standard in Lariat and King Ranch® and available in XLT.

Voice-Controlled Technology
Super Duty® offers today’s easy-to-use voice-controlled technologies. Take the available Ford SYNC®, for instance. Just say the word and SYNC® lets you control your Bluetooth®-enabled cell phone and your MP3 player. Flowing Design
The “greenhouse” is a term automotive designers have used to refer to a vehicle’s windows, the vertical pillars separating them, and the roof. Comfortably seats seven. Nothing mini here.
Flex can fit seven people, or six if you opt for the available second row 40/40 bucket seats. And yet, there’s still plenty of room for storage and stretching of your legs. The independent rear suspension soaks up bumps and potholes so you don’t have to. Extensive wind tunnel testing helped us pinpoint noise sources, which we dampened with a special door inset design and the use of advanced sound-deadening materials. We suggest a test drive to not hear these noises for yourself.

Comfort
Spacious Seating for Seven
Every Flex comes standard with 1st-row bucket seats, 2nd-row 60/40 split bench seat and 3rd-row 50/50 split bench seat for seven-passenger seating. Or go with a six-passenger arrangement by choosing the optional 2nd-row 40/40 bucket seats, which offer an available center console with storage. What’s most amazing about Flex isn’t the number of passengers it can accommodate. It’s the amazing amount of seating room, with best-in-class legroom for 2nd-row as well as 3rd-row passengers, and sense the open space it provides.

PowerFold™ 3rd-Row Seat with Tailgate Feature
Flex comes standard with a fold-flat 3rd-row bench seat. If you prefer, add the available PowerFold™ 3rd-row seat. It easily let’s you flip and fold the seat at the touch of a button. With full power assist, this rear seat can slip easily into three useful configurations.
(1) For full seven-passenger seating, keep the seat backs in their normal upright position.
(2) When you need extra space for cargo, lower the seat backs with a simple touch of a button for a flat load floor.
(3) And, with the handy tailgate feature, you can convert the third-row seat to a rear-facing one for recreational use at a picnic or sporting event with the same simple touch of a button.

Folding Center Armrest
For extra versatility, the Ford Flex includes a folding center armrest with two cupholders. Convenient Autofold function on the 40 section of the armrest that folds down and includes two cupholders.

Refrigerated 2nd-Row Console
If you go with the available 2nd-row 40/40 bucket seats, you can also get the optional 2nd-row refrigerated console. Unlike systems that just keep beverages cool, the compressor-driven unit in Flex can chill up to seven 12-oz. cans, four half-liter bottles or two 20-oz. bottles down to 41°F. There’s also a freeze mode that’ll go down to 23°F. Available on Limited and Titanium models.

Cargo & Storage
Flex provides a lot of places to put your things. A 1st-row console with storage. Integrated 1st- and 2nd-row door storage pockets. Map pockets behind the 1st-row seats. 3rd-row storage in the armrests. A large, lockable glove box. Ten cup and bottle holders as well. What’s more, the optional 2nd-row 40/40 bucket seats offer an available center console with storage in the SEL, Limited and Titanium models. Look around the inside of a Flex — yes, Ford designers thought of just about everything.

Multi-Panel Vista Roof™
If you’re the kind of person who just can’t get enough natural light, the available multi-panel Vista Roof™ will definitely be on your list of must-have features. The Vista Roof™ consists of four skylights covering all three rows of occupants. A power moonroof sits over the 1st row. The 2nd row has two openings. And a larger single skylight is over the 3rd row.

Flex Handling
The independent rear suspension is engineered so that the movement, or angle, of one wheel does not directly affect the other. Each wheel functions independently to absorb the effects of bumps and potholes. It’s a big reason Flex rides so smoothly and handles so confidently.

3.5L EcoBoost™ Engine
The available EcoBoost™ twin turbo charged, direct-injected V6 engine delivers the fuel economy of a V6 with the power of a V8. How is this achieved? EcoBoost™ combines Direct Injection (DI) technology and turbocharged performance. DI is designed to produce a cooler, denser charge that generates more power per every drop of fuel. The boost from the twin turbochargers provides the enhanced performance you’d expect from a higher displacement engine. Also contributing to the engine’s efficiency: gear ratios that are calibrated for more low-end torque (max. @1,500 rpm) along with increased overdrive economy; and a power steering system that doesn’t drain engine power. The 3.5L EcoBoost™ V6 engine, available on Flex Limited and Titanium, is teamed with the traction and handling of Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.

Voice Activated Navigation System
Receive a six-month trial to SiriusXM Traffic™ and SiriusXM Travel Link™, bringing live infotainment services to your available voice-activated Navigation System. With SiriusXM Traffic™ you’ll get continuously updated traffic information and traffic-related incidents. SiriusXM Travel Link delivers local fuel prices, weather information, movie listings, sports scores and schedules. On top of all that, the voice-activated Navigation System has a 10GB hard drive so you can store approximately 2,400 songs. 3.5L Duratec® V6 engine
The standard 3.5L Duratec® V6 features dual overhead cams activating four valves per cylinder with advanced intake variable-cam timing technology, generating 262 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft. of torque. This advanced V6 is mated to an equally advanced 6-speed automatic transmission. It features a wide span of gear ratios across the six speeds, providing responsive acceleration at the low end and enhanced fuel economy at the overdrive 6th gear.

Sony® Audio System
Want a really awesome sound system that’s designed for the automotive environment? Then listen up. It’s a Sony® brand unit with 390 watts of power and 12 premium speakers including a rear subwoofer. It’s standard in Limited and Titanium, and optional in SEL — and just one more reason you won’t want to leave the comfort of your Flex.

Ambient Lighting
Choose lighting that fits your mood with the 7-color programmable ambient lighting feature that’s standard in the Limited and Titanium models. Select from one of seven colors: red, blue, purple, orange, aqua, white or yellow-green You can change the lighting color in several combined locations around the interior, giving you a new look that’s quick and easy.

Rear View Camera
Both Flex Limited and Titanium models are equipped with a standard rear view camera. The camera automatically displays an image of what’s behind you on the center dash panel when you put the gearshift selector in reverse. It also displays red, yellow and green guidelines which line up with the white lines of a parking space, helping to guide you in.

Active Park Assist
It was a driver’s training nightmare, but with Active Park Assist, parallel parking can be easy and quick. While some competitors only use imaging, Flex employs ultrasonic sensors on the vehicle. With a push of a button and an activation of your turn signal, the system locates any available parking spaces. Once a spot is located, Flex quickly parks into place with a few simple steps from the driver. Active Park Assist is available on vehicles powered by the available 3.5L EcoBoost™ V6 engine

Safety
AdvanceTrac® with RSC®
AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®), standard on Flex, is a stability control system with gyroscopic sensors measuring both vehicle roll and turning rates. Corner too quickly or swerve to avoid an object and RSC applies brake pressure and reduces engine power to help keep you under control. And it all happens in the time it takes to blink an eye. Flex offers Trailer Sway Control that works with the AdvanceTrac® with the RSC®. It uses the sensor that measures yaw motion to determine if the trailer is swaying. If necessary, Trailer Sway Control applies precise braking or adjusted engine torque to help bring both vehicle and trailer under control. Trailer Sway Control is included in the Class III Trailer Tow Package, available on all models.

Six Standard Airbags
Flex provides dual-stage front seat airbags along with the advanced energy management features included in the Personal Safety System®. Also standard are front seat-mounted side impact airbags. And there’s The Safety Canopy® System with rollover sensor and side curtain airbags that helps protect outboard occupants in all three rows. This system has “roll-fold” technology: the curtain airbag is designed to position itself between the occupant’s head and side window glass.

4-Wheel Disc ABS
The smooth stopping action of 4-wheel disc Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) is standard on every Flex. When you pair AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ it applies the anti-lock brakes as one of the measures it takes to help keep the wheels firmly planted and maintain vehicle control.

Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS)
It’s very important to check your tire pressure regularly to keep all four inflated within the manufacturer’s specified range, because tire pressure affects ride comfort, safety, and fuel economy. That’s why Flex comes equipped with a standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

MyKey™
MyKey™ is an innovative system that can help your young son or daughter drive more responsibly – and safely. Important safety features stay activated, such as the Beltminder™ warning chime, until the safety belts are buckled. The audio system sound volume also remains muted.
